Consultant/Manager in Low Carbon Buildings
Location: Stamford/Flex UK

Remuneration: £50k package

Job Overview

Unique opportunity with a distinctive and innovative low carbon solutions provider in the buildings sector to build and bring your knowledge to the consultancy and/or project implementation/delivery arm of the business.   • Process management for sustainable construction projects
  • Low Carbon Project Delivery/Implementation
  • Energy source analysis
  • Building energy audits, surveys and monitoring, building energy modelling.
  • Post occupancy studies, and user interaction.
  • Energy awareness campaigning and training.
  • Building regulations and standards, benchmarking of energy performance.
  • Whole life costing, financing of efficiency improvements, and business plans.

To help us deliver on our rapidly expanding low carbon buildings business, LowC is looking for Consultant/Manager in Low Carbon Buildings.

The position

Joining our dynamic team of professionals, you will be working on behalf of public and private sector clients in the United Kingdom, providing high quality, independent and objective advice in support of the development and implementation of sustainable buildings and their energy infrastructure. Your tasks will be aiding in the acquisition and execution of projects in the area of energy efficiency and renewable energy in buildings, in low energy building design, in the development and delivery of low or zero carbon energy supply strategies for the built environment, as well as in the other areas outlined above.

Your Profile should include:

  • Academic education in technical sciences related to built environment, possibly with an architectural or engineering background;
  • Focus on Low Energy and Low Carbon Buildings with prior experience or involvement in projects promoting the improvement of energy performance in buildings, either for existing buildings/portfolios or for new designs and refurbishment projects.
  • Focus on renewable energy delivery such as CHP and district heating systems
  • 3-5 years professional work experience in the area of energy and carbon solutions for the building sector
  • Enthusiasm
  • Capacity to work independently
  • Taking initiative, bringing new ideas to the table, making a difference
  • Entrepreneurialism
  • Practical and commercial attitude with good project management and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise effectively;
  • Ability for conceptual and innovative thinking;

  • Working in team of professionals with very short reporting lines, to build a department/sector of your own over time
