Residential & Mixed Use

Larkfleet Homes

LowC are working with Larkfleet Homes on a number of residential and mixed-use developments, providing design strategies that incorporate a high renewable energy content - far surpassing current requirements and standards.

LowC's 'road map' for integrating a renewable energy infrastructure into the design strategy has enabled Larkfleet to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH) level 4, with no cost increase compared to conventional construction techniques. This has helped to dispel some of the myths that low carbon building is inherently more expensive than traditional building, and proven that achieving CSH level 4 can be commercially viable.

Further benefits have been achieved through increasing Larkfleet's position in the highly competitive property market by introducing affordable low carbon and renewable energy solutions that differentiate the developments

Crosby Lend Lease UK Ltd (CLL)

LowC are working with CLL to develop low carbon strategies in support of their development and implementation of a corporate sustainability vision and strategy. In addition, LowC's RESCo solutions are being used in exemplar urban regeneration projects such as the Potato Wharf development in Manchester, with the following features:
  • Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH): putting carbon savings at the centre of planning decisions;
  • Meeting the CSH standards cost effectively;
  • Placing community generation at the heart of the concept;
  • RESCo structuring for operational integrity and secure long-term energy supplies.
